Organ and flute. Concert by Ursula and Livio Vanoni

LIVIO VANONI, originally from Aurigeno (Valle Maggia), born in Zurich in 1944, studied organ with maestro Heinrich Funk, piano (Peter Scheuch), choir conducting (Johannes Fuchs) and composition (Paul Müller-Zürich), graduating in 1966. He subsequently perfected his skills with maestros Lionel Rogg, Karl Richter and Helmuth Reichel, obtaining the concert pianist diploma with top marks in 1973.

He has given concerts both in Switzerland and abroad as an organist and harpsichordist. He has made radio, television and CD recordings. He taught at the teacher training institute and at the cantonal high schools and from 1985 until his retirement he served as cantonal expert for music education in middle schools. He also served as state delegate for examinations at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland.
